We are
a small Thai company based on Phuket.
Officially, we are known as "Action
Sailing & Cruising Thailand". We have
been operating legally in Thailand since 1995,
though we have been sailing in southern Thailand
down to Singapore since 1989.
The captain is Jock (JC) Cromie. Jock began his adult life as an Australian wheat
farmer. He has been sailing since he was age 9. Along the way he became a pilot, then took
up competitive gliding. There is a lot of similarity between gliding and sailing.
In 1987, with many personal goals achieved JC took a
break from farming and bought a yacht to go sail the world.
Along the way a few changes took place, mainly falling in love with
Thailand. And later, with a lovely Thai lady, Porn.
Now they are married and have a young son. Porn is now JC's Thai captain,
she also does the food preparation on board.
When not sailing with guests or friends, Jock trains for triathlons, goes
cross-country running with the Phuket Hash (a running club fond of beer drinking), or
relaxes at home with his family.
